I have several workflows to cover the type of photography I do. This workflow is intended make indoor candid photos colder and reduce the orange/red hues from the skin tones. Anyway, here is my workflow.

  1. Shoot your photos in RAW and process with Adobe Camera Raw.
  2. Get your white balance perfect. Use a white reference point if available.
  3. Crush the blacks by moving the slider to the right.
  4. Bring some of the black back by adding fill light.
  5. Dodge/burn.
  6. Adjust the hue of the red/orange channels to mute the orange tones.
  7. Bump up the luminosity of the red/orange channels to bring some brightness back.
  8. Adjust split toning to make the image greener.
  9. Adjust the exposure the far right.
  10. Turn up recovery to tone down the skin highlights.

I will end this post here and post pictures of some of my post-processing when I have the time.
