We were at the St. Albert farmer’s market when we stumbled upon this cellar having a wine tasting. Tried some south Australian and Chilean wines for good measure and left with three bottles of non-alcoholic soda.
Mom’s secret recipe that takes only 5 minutes to make and is extremely delicious. 
It has been a while since I’ve used my camera. Spending most of my time catching up on novels, so the camera has to take the back seat. But earlier in the week, we prepared this wonderfully healthy rice and fish dinner enjoyed with a wonderful glass of rose wine.
Bought myself a new ‘cheaper’ camera today (Pentax K-x) to replace my 2.5 years old Pentax K10D. This photo was taken at ISO6400 to show how usable high-ISO photos look like with this camera. Even though the camera is a downgrade in features, it is a major upgrade in image quality and extreme lighting shooting capabilities. Hope to gave a good few years with this new body before the next Pentax comes along.
This is a new recipe I learnt from mom and tried. It takes about 10 minutes to prepare the whole meal, which is convenient when you are tired and want something quick. It is quicker than getting dressed and going back out to buy take-out. Sorry, no sharing mom’s recipes.
Haha. Today was an experimental day where I felt adventurous enough to try making a Russian dumpling with ground pork and beef, also known as Pelmeni. The meat filling recipe went so well, I didn’t even break a sweat. Then when it came to the dough, I was misguided with the recipe and it became runny. Several additional cups of flour later, and I got the texture needed to make the dumpling skin.
Boil these suckers in hot water for 5 minutes and then pan fry it in butter, then serve with a side of sour-cream … oh goodness.
