OVERVIEW
I am providing a variety of photography courses to the Edmonton photography community. Course difficulty will vary from beginner camera education to advanced lighting. Each course will have capacity for approximately 10 aspiring students. Course fees will vary by course, but includes course materials, light snacks, and beverages.

COURSES
Photography 101 – Camera Fundamentals
Cost: $40
Get acquainted with your camera in this course where your instructors will walk you through the settings available for your digital camera and how/when to use them. Expect to learn about Aperture, Exposure (Shutter), Sensitivity (ISO), and using all of them in Manual mode to give yourself full control over how your pictures turn out. Classroom workshops will provide you with assignments to practice using each setting and seeing what effect they have on your final photo.
Lighting 101 – Flash Fundamentals
Cost: $50
Almost 99% of blurry photos are caused by insufficient lighting. In this course, you will learn about hot shoe flashes and see how they can improve the quantity of pictures that not only come out sharp, but are beautifully bright. An inexpensive hot shoe flash is a must, more so than better lenses, if you are serious about taking good quality photos under a variety of environmental and lighting conditions.
Lighting Jedi Master
Cost: $65
In this course, we will show you how to demonstrate control over lighting, both natural and artificial. You decide how you want the light to appear and how much of that lighting contributes to the scene. We will show you the equipment necessary to get your flashes away from your camera and techniques to setup your equipment to capture those shots that you see on billboards that defies all known laws of science (and physics).
