COURSE OVERVIEW
Get acquainted with your camera in this course where your instructors will walk you through the settings available for your digital camera and how/when to use them. Expect to learn about Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, ISO Priority, and full Manual mode. Classroom workshops will provide you with assignments to practice using each setting and seeing what effect they have on your final output.
KNOWLEDGE PREREQUISITES
A good knowledge of how to access the following settings and change them on your camera:
- Aperture
- Exposure (Shutter)
- Sensitivity (ISO)
Note: Instructors are limited and to be fair to your fellow-classmates, we cannot spend a lot of time teaching you how to use your camera when that information is already in your manual.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED
A camera with an interchangeable lens is highly recommended, but not necessary. Interchangeable lens cameras generally have larger sensors which allows you to see the affects of the different settings more clearly on the back of your camera’s viewfinder.
Caution: Using a point & shoot camera (with a few exceptions) will leave you disappointed.
