These are the remaining pictures that was salvaged from Beaumaris Lake in Castle Downs (north central Edmonton). You’d never think that this oasis of a lake existed buried deep in the suburbs of the north end, yet here it is. Most of my pictures didn’t turn up so well, but it is amazing what a bit of color adjustments and some vignetting can do to make images “POP”. Hope you like them.

I was afraid that I was not going to have anything to post for today because of the low quality shots this outing. Instead of my regular 17-50mm lens, I took the 90mm macro which made shooting that much more difficult. But after running my images through my post-processing workflow, some of shots turned out quite nice. This is my favorite because it is almost computer wallpaper-worthy (IF you like green … that is). This is a shot of a partially receding cattail at Beaumaris Lake.
